Public Health Minor

Public health education programs require interdisciplinary involvement and community engagement; therefore, this minor in public health engages students across all areas of study through the introduction of fundamental concepts and core disciplines of public health. Students with a minor in public health will gain an understanding of the factors that impact the health of individuals, communities, and populations. They will also be equipped with the knowledge and skills to live and promote healthy lifestyles, conduct community needs assessments, and plan, develop, implement, and evaluate health programs within various populations. The skills obtained from the public health minor have applications for students seeking to pursue careers in various clinical professions as well as other nonclinical fields.
