Social Studies B.S. with Teacher Certification 7-12
Students pursuing teacher certification in history or social studies must meet all guidelines for the Educator Preparation Program and the state of Texas (see catalog for College of Education) including assessment, field hours, and grade point requirements.
The following is the recommended sequence for educator preparation courses. Students must take 12 hours from within history, political science, psychology, sociology or economics before enrolling in EDUC 3315. Failure to take EDUC 3315 by spring of the sophomore year may result in a delay of student teaching.
