BACC 6329 Advanced Accounting Information Systems

This course adopts a systems approach to the evaluation, planning, and implementation of Accounting Information Systems (AIS). It emphasizes the analysis and application of appropriate technologies.
Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of AIS, including how transactional data is captured, processed, and transformed into valuable information for businesses. The course also explores the critical role of internal controls within AIS and their importance in ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.
Additionally, students will gain familiarity with essential technologies used by accountants, including Microsoft Excel and database systems, preparing them to effectively utilize these tools in professional settings.
