Student Organizations

UMHB has approximately 70 chartered student organizations, including, special interest, community service, honor societies, academic, religious, leadership, service, and athletic/spirit groups.

Faculty and staff serve as advisors and represent UMHB in all planned activities involving the organization or their members. The staff of Student Organizations provides support and other needed services to student organizations, their leaders, advisors, and members.

All organizations seeking recognition must be approved by the Student Government Association, Vice President for Student Life and ultimately, the President of UMHB. Organizations will not be recognized if their goals and purposes are contrary to the goals and purposes of the university.
