NURS 3301 Nursing Care for Population Health

This clinical nursing course focuses on the application of theoretical knowledge to caring for diverse populations in various practice settings. Through experiences in the classroom, simulation, and clinical environment, students will develop essential skills in community assessment, health education and health promotion, and community resource management. Influencing factors, such as social determinates of health and policy, will be explored. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, safety, and interprofessional collaboration. Students will incorporate professional nursing standards and values in their clinical experiences and apply faith-informed discernment to decision-making.
