NURS 4301 Mental Health Nursing

This clinical nursing course focuses on the biological-psychological-social-spiritual needs and adaptive
stressors of individuals with mental health conditions. Through experiences in the classroom, simulation, and clinical environment, students will expand essential skills in patient assessment, care planning and coordination, and clinical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and interprofessional collaboration. Students will incorporate professional nursing standards and values in their clinical experiences and apply faith-informed discernment to decision-making.
